What's new: Improved Trial Conversions Chart, Flows Builder Kit v1.0, Silent Push Notifications, and more.

Improved Trial Conversions Chart

We added three new metrics to our Trial Conversion Chart, offering a more granular view of user behavior: Trial Active at 30 Minutes, Trial Active at 1 Hour, and Trial Active at 24 Hours.

This update allows you to analyze and optimize your marketing strategies more effectively. Here’s how these new metrics can benefit you:

  • Use Case 1: Media Source Analysis

Segment your data by media source to determine the percentage of users who cancel within the first hour. This insight helps you adjust event optimization, for instance, switching from trial_started to trial_active to better assess and set event values.

  • Use Case 2: Real-Time Conversion Insights

While the install-to-trial conversion is immediate, waiting for trial-to-paid data can take days due to free trial durations. Now, you can gather early-stage data at 30 minutes, 1 hour, and 24 hours to forecast future paid conversions more accurately.

  • Use Case 3: In-Depth User Behavior Analysis

Understand how different user segments perform at each step. By tracking the transition from trial to active stages and then to conversion, you can identify where users drop off, whether it’s due to immediate cancellations or issues like payment failures. This helps refine your ad strategies and tailor improvements to boost overall conversion rates.

Flows Builder Kit v1.0

We’re excited to introduce Flows Builder Kit v1.0, our Web-to-Web funnel builder, with plenty of key enhancements designed to optimize your conversion funnel and overall user experience.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Inline Paddle payment form: we have addressed an issue with Paddle where a forced redirect was pulling users out of the funnel. This update helps prevent that, ensuring a smoother payment experience alongside PayPal.
  • Formula-Based Calculations: our new formulas enable you to display custom content based on user’s previous answers, offering clearer insights and a more engaging user journey.
  • Subscriptions Upsell: after a payment, you can now offer an additional subscription. Depending on the user's decision, two different success screens will appear: one for customers who purchase the upsell (Option 1) and another for those who do not (Option 2).

Silent Push Notifications

Our Rules now support Background notifications, also known as Silent Push notifications. This allows developers to execute code in the background when a specified event is triggered.

Use Case: Create a Rule for the Trial Active event with a silent push notification. When the notification is delivered and the app is launched in the background, developers have approximately 30 seconds to run custom logic. For example, they can update the conversion value for users with active trials to optimize SKAdNetwork performance.

Other Improvements

  • Facebook Conversions API Integration. Conversions API integration has been improved for Web campaigns. This ensures you can leverage FB CAPI for better tracking and enhanced marketing insights. For more details, check the Facebook documentation.
  • Updates to the S2S Webhook Payload. Our updated s2s webhook integration now supports additional flow parameters such as store country, IP address, language, and email, providing richer data for improved targeting and analysis.
  • SDK Updates: React Native SDK v2.2.0, iOS SDK v3.6.2, Android SDK v2.9.1.

Stay tuned for more updates and enhancements from Apphud!
